How It Works

If you have been referred for an investigation such as a CT scan, MRI, or colonoscopy/gastroscopy, or if you need a specialist consultation, you can receive your care in Spain through IHM without any waiting time.

We will schedule an appointment for you with the appropriate specialist or directly for the examination you’ve been referred for. You will receive prompt notification of the date and time of your appointment. Once the examination has been completed, we gather all documentation and apply to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency for reimbursement for necessary medical care abroad.

Thanks to our cooperation agreements, you do not need to pay for the care upfront. However, you will always be required to pay a patient fee, which is the same fee you would pay in your home region.
